Senior Systems Developer

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Oracle Database professional to join a business going through an exciting period of growth and investment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting critical business systems, delivering improvements across the technology estate and helping shape future development projects.

Working as part of a small and highly experienced development team, this role offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact, combining database development, administration, automation and systems improvement within a collaborative environment.

The Role

• Developing and supporting Oracle and SQL Server databases and applications

• Providing Oracle Database Administration (DBA) support, including performance tuning and optimisation

• Designing and delivering database solutions using PL/SQL and SQL

• Supporting the development of a new enterprise data warehouse

• Improving and automating existing business processes and workflows

• Working closely with stakeholders across Operations, Finance, IT and wider business teams

• Supporting the ongoing improvement and development of internal systems

• Providing technical guidance and knowledge sharing within the development team

We are keen to speak with experienced database professionals who can demonstrate

• Strong Oracle DBA experience

• Strong Oracle PL/SQL development skills

• Experience working with complex databases and business-critical systems

• A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement

• The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Experience with the following would be highly advantageous:

• SQL Server / T-SQL

• Data warehousing

• Power BI

• PowerShell or other automation tools

• Experience gained within financial services, investment management or a similar regulated environment
