About the company

We're hiring a Front-End Designer to join COHO and help shape the look, feel, and usability of our product. You'll work alongside our lead designer, continuing and improving our existing design approach, while also having the chance to evolve it as new areas of the product emerge. In the short term, you'll focus on creating, implementing and refining designs within our development builds, using HTML and CSS to create clean, maintainable static content that developers can enrich with functionality. Over time, as trust and ability grow, you'll take on more ownership - eventually leading the design of our system. We view design not just about making things look good, but about creating a coherent, intuitive experience that makes COHO stand out. We're looking for someone who's excited to get hands-on with both design and code, and who's curious to learn enough front-end fundamentals to work closely with our developers. We're remote-first but care deeply about culture and collaboration. We meet in person a few times a year (last time was a villa in Valencia for a team retreat), and we're looking for someone who's motivated, curious, and ready to grow with us., We are deeply passionate about improving the living opportunities for people, and we think that shared living is a brilliant option for many people. As people spend more time scrolling social media than face-to-face, mental health as a result loneliness is rapidly deteriorating. Living alongside like-minded people can not only be an environmentally beneficial, affordable option, but a way to thrive alongside others. To put it shortly, we want to do to shared living what Airbnb did to holiday rentals.
