A client of mine is looking to further enhance their Workday capability and continue building out their internal technical function to maximise platform optimisation, automation and long-term return on investment.

This role is looking for an experienced Workday Integration SME to design, build, test and support robust integration solutions across a complex enterprise environment. You will play a key role in connecting Workday with critical business systems and ensuring the reliability, security and scalability of integrations across the organisation.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test and maintain Workday integrations using technologies including EIB, Core Connectors, PECI, RaaS, Workday Studio, Orchestrations and Workday APIs.
  • Build and support integrations between Workday and external applications, data warehouses and third-party platforms.
  • Own the end-to-end movement of data between Workday and connected systems including Payroll, Finance, Identity & Access Management and enterprise data platforms.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of integration solutions through the application of encryption standards, PGP, secrets management, private endpoints and network configuration best practices.
  • Manage API integrations across SOAP and REST protocols, authentication frameworks and vendor-managed interfaces.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve integration issues through root cause analysis, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Maintain high levels of data quality and integrity through regular audits, validation activities and proactive maintenance.
  • Lead Workday release activities including impact assessments, regression testing, break/fix resolution and deployment planning.
  • Stay current with Workday product enhancements, emerging technologies and industry best practices, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Support knowledge sharing, mentoring and capability development within the HRIS and Workday teams.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, technical teams and third-party vendors to deliver scalable and efficient integration solutions.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience delivering and supporting Workday Integrations within enterprise environments.
  • Expertise across Workday integration technologies including EIB, Core Connectors, PECI, RaaS, Studio and Workday APIs.
  • Proven experience working with REST and SOAP web services, authentication protocols and API management.
  • Strong understanding of integration security, encryption standards, PGP and secrets management.
  • Experience integrating Workday with Payroll, Finance, Identity Management and other enterprise applications.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience supporting Workday release management, testing and production support activities.

Desirable Experience:

  • Workday Integration Certification.
  • Experience within large, complex or global Workday environments.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms, data warehousing technologies and enterprise middleware solutions.
  • Experience mentoring junior team members and driving integration best practices.
