Job description

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you., This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Test Engineer to play a key role in planning, managing, and delivering pilot plant trials and process testing projects across the UK and, on occasion, overseas., As a Test Engineer, you will take ownership of customer trial programmes from initial planning through to completion, providing valuable technical insights and recommendations while ensuring the highest standards of testing, reporting, and customer service., * Plan, coordinate and lead customer product trials from start to finish.

  • Prepare, commission and operate pilot plant and process testing equipment.
  • Conduct pilot trials at the company's Swansea facility and at customer sites across the UK and occasionally overseas.
  • Gather, validate and analyse technical data to produce accurate results.
  • Interpret findings and prepare detailed technical reports with recommendations.
  • Present trial outcomes and technical information to customers and internal teams.
  • Build strong working relationships with customers before, during and after trial programmes.
  • Maintain, calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory and pilot plant equipment.
  • Investigate process issues and implement practical engineering solutions.
  • Support the continuous improvement of testing procedures and departmental standards.
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company health and safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or a Scientific discipline is preferred.
  • Candidates with relevant industry experience and strong science-based qualifications will also be considered.
  • Experience within a laboratory, pilot plant, process manufacturing or engineering environment is desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret technical data accurately.
  • Highly organised with strong planning and time management skills.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the UK, with occasional overseas travel.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential.

  • 37.5-hour working week:
  • Monday to Thursday: 8:15am - 4:45pm
  • Friday: 8:15am - 3:30pm
