Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Software QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products through comprehensive testing, automation, and analysis. This role involves working closely with development teams to identify issues, improve testing processes, and uphold the highest standards of software quality assurance. The ideal applicant will possess strong technical expertise in various testing tools and methodologies, with a focus on delivering reliable, high-performance software solutions across multiple platforms., * Design, develop, and execute detailed test cases for functional, system, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing.

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, and other relevant frameworks.
  • Conduct load and performance testing using LoadRunner and similar tools to evaluate system stability under varying conditions.
  • Perform root cause analysis on defects identified during testing phases to facilitate prompt resolution.
  • Collaborate with developers during SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) to integrate continuous integration practices using Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, Azure DevOps, and TFS.
  • Participate in requirements gathering sessions to understand business needs and translate them into comprehensive test plans.
  • Execute API testing for RESTful and SOAP web services to ensure seamless integration across systems.
  • Conduct system testing across multiple operating systems including Windows, Linux, Android, iOS, and cloud environments such as AWS and Azure.
  • Support release management by verifying software builds prior to deployment and assisting in troubleshooting post-release issues.
  • Document test results accurately and maintain detailed records of defects using Jira or HP ALM.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing efficiency through process automation and new tool adoption.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in software quality assurance with a strong understanding of SDLC methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile frameworks.
  • Proficiency in test automation tools including Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Cucumber (BDD), JUnit, and related frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with performance testing tools like LoadRunner or similar solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of APIs (REST & SOAP), web services architecture (SOA), XML/JSON data formats, and related testing protocols.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as GitHub, GitLab, SVN or TFS; experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins is essential.
  • Solid understanding of programming languages including Java, C#, Python, C++, PHP or JavaScript for scripting automated tests.
  • Experience working with databases such as MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server or MongoDB; knowledge of JDBC/PL/SQL is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform system troubleshooting by analysing logs and debugging issues across various platforms including Windows and Linux environments.
  • Excellent analytical skills with an aptitude for data analysis and problem-solving within complex systems.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts & technical support staff.
