Job description
A well-established professional services organisation in South Manchester is looking for an IT Support Technician to join its internal IT team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with IT support experience who wants to build on their technical skills in a structured environment, working across a wide mix of systems, users, and day-to-day tech challenges.
What you'll be doing
- Providing 1st and 2nd line IT support via phone, email, and face-to-face
- Setting up and managing user accounts, permissions, and passwords
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, and general infrastructure issues
- Supporting desktops, printers, and telecoms systems
- Assisting with system monitoring, backups, and antivirus updates
- Helping onboard new starters, including IT setup and basic user training
- Working with third-party suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues
- Keeping IT asset records up to date (hardware, software, mobile devices)
Requirements

Previous experience in an IT support / helpdesk role

Good working knowledge of:

Windows Server

Active Directory

DHCP
-
Office 365
-
Windows desktop environments
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Confident communicator with a strong customer service approach
Organised, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
Any experience with business applications would be a bonus
