Job description

  • Partner closely with our regional sales and marketing teams to advance community goals.
  • Present at technical talks, meet-ups, webinars, demos, and trainings for both technical and non-technical community members online and in person.
  • Coordinate relevant conferences, meet-ups, and events online and in person.
  • Engage with affiliate communities as a speaker and coordinator of joint events.
  • Create high-quality content such as videos, blog posts, and podcasts for engineers and technical end users.
  • Write code and create and maintain sample projects for demonstration and teaching purposes.
  • Work with our Marketing team to create and publish product-focused social media and newsletter content.
  • Develop and report measurements of our activities and impact against company goals.
  • Support engineers in online communities such as Discord, Twitter, Slack, and GitHub Discussions.

Requirements

  • We are looking for someone with a technical background and deep familiarity with the data domain, such as a developer, infrastructure engineer, data engineer, or data analyst.
  • We prefer experience and understanding of databases, data stores, data warehouses, and distributed systems.
  • We value experience with open source technologies and communities, demonstrated through practical use and prior contributions.
  • We look for experience sharing knowledge with other engineers through blogs, recorded videos, meetup and conference talks, training sessions, or similar formats.
  • Experience in developer advocacy, developer evangelism, or developer marketing is a plus, but not required.
  • We want someone excited about organizing and hosting events for community growth.
  • We are looking for someone ready to speak frequently on technical topics in the community.
  • We need someone who can communicate complex technical topics clearly and elegantly to people from different backgrounds and disciplines.
  • We value deep empathy for developers learning a new technology.
  • We look for someone who takes initiative, gives constructive feedback, and is happy to travel regularly.
