Remote Full Stack Engineer

• Transform a working prototype into a production-grade enterprise SaaS
• Build secure, scalable backend systems and automated deployment pipelines
• Lead the end-to-end development of the user interface, making complex AI-generated insights legible and actionable for non-technical business users

• 3-8 years of experience shipping production web applications using modern JavaScript/TypeScript (React) and Python (FastAPI)
• Strong proficiency in cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS, and in designing robust database structures and data pipelines

• Genuine interest in human-centered AI that enhances domain expertise

We are Lichen AI, an early-stage agentic platform for AI discovery. We are hiring a full stack engineer in Cambridge, UK to join as our first full-time and founding engineer, with a significant equity stake and a clear path to technical leadership as we scale. You will work alongside a world-class founding team, including the former Chair of the UK Governments AI Council and Amazon Alexas speech recognition lead, building a mission-driven platform that uses agentic AI to amplify human insight for enterprise clients. The salary is £60k-£80k plus equity.
