Job description
- Join a small, focused internal IT team and report to the Group IT Manager.
- Work closely with regional business units and security stakeholders across the group.
- Provide senior technical escalation support.
- Design and implement improvements to core platforms.
- Contribute to security and infrastructure projects.
- Help deliver group-wide initiatives such as cloud adoption, firewall migrations, and Zero Trust security improvements.
- Work across multiple technologies including Azure, Microsoft 365, enterprise networking, firewalls, identity, and security tooling.
- Contribute to architecture decisions and long-term platform improvements.
- Support a range of internal IT activities across the group.
- Work collaboratively with the team to share knowledge and build new skills on the job.

Requirements
- Significant experience delivering operational IT support and infrastructure projects within a medium-sized or enterprise organisation.
- Networking and security architecture experience, including LAN/WAN design, routing, switching, VPN, and hybrid cloud networking.
- Experience with enterprise firewalls and secure connectivity such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, or similar.
- Experience with Zero Trust and ZTNA principles and secure remote access solutions.
- Strong experience with Azure Cloud Platform, including IaaS, PaaS, networking, RBAC, Policy, Backup, and Monitoring.
- Experience with Azure networking technologies such as VPN, Load Balancer, Application Gateway, Firewall, Private Endpoints, and Front Door.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows platforms, including Server and Endpoint management, Intune, SCCM, DNS, security features, and authentication, is beneficial.
- Experience with Active Directory and Entra ID, including on-premises and cloud, SAML, Conditional Access, RBAC, PIM, and Identity Governance, is beneficial.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation such as ARM, Bicep, PowerShell, scripting, or similar, is beneficial.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 technologies such as Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Defender, and E5 security technologies, is beneficial.
- Experience with SIEM and security monitoring platforms such as Azure Sentinel, Defender, or similar, is beneficial.
- Experience with systems monitoring and alerting tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, PRTG, and SCCM, is beneficial.
- Experience with centralised backup platforms such as Azure Backup, Commvault, or similar, is beneficial.
- Experience supporting governance and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, NIST, or similar, is beneficial.
- Experience working in environments with multiple regions, tenants, or business units is beneficial.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications in Azure, Microsoft 365, Security, Identity, or Networking are beneficial.
- Azure Administrator, Architect, or Security certifications are beneficial.
- Networking or firewall certifications such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, CCNA, or equivalent are beneficial.
