Job description
BAE Systems is seeking a Digital Engineering Analyst to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system.
The Digital Engineering Analyst will play a key role in implementing our organization's digital engineering strategy. This person will provide technical leadership and guidance to help drive digital transformation across the organization. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of digital engineering principles, practices, and technologies, as well as experience in applying these concepts to drive business value. They will work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement a comprehensive digital engineering strategy that aligns with organizational goals and objectives. The Digital Engineering Analyst will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize digital engineering initiatives, develop roadmaps, and establish metrics for success. As part of the Digital Engineering Working Group (DEWG) team, this person will also be able to interface and influence the new technologies that are being developed for internal improvement and improved delivery to our customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience or equivalent experience
- Digital transformation experience for Systems Engineering activities
- Experience across engineering applications such as Cameo/MagicDraw, IBM DOORS, PTC Creo, and MATLAB/Simulink
- Experience with PLM systems such as PTC Windchill along with other engineering applications and tools to establish a digital thread of relevant data
- Technical expertise in MBSE, MBE, MBD, SysML, UML, Python, programming, etc.
- Experience working directly on DE implementation in a technical delivery role to deliver project success
- Experience developing and using different data architectures
- Experience with DoD and/or industry level DE approaches, frameworks, and implementation such as DoDI 5000.97
- Strong communication and verbal presentation skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders including business leaders, engineering teams, IT teams, and end-users

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Prior submarine experience
- Operations Research experience
- Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP) certification
- Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile frameworks
- Diagramming & modeling knowledge with tools such as Visio and/or Cameo/MagicDraw
- Knowledge of IT enterprise architecture and IT infrastructure such as networks, servers, and applications
- Understanding of how IT infrastructure components impact DE implementation for system design, simulation, and modeling objectives
- Demonstrated ability to develop technical strategies, lead modernization initiatives, and brief complex technical topics to government leadership
- Ability to engage constructively with peers and technical leads to communicate the technical approach, trade-offs, and technical decisions
- Understanding of modern software development and systems engineering practices, design principles, techniques, and technologies
- Management of requirements, priorities and alignment with organizational objectives & success criteria
Benefits & conditions
Full-Time Salary Range: $118095 - $200762

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
