The selected candidate will perform in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings. The selected candidate is expected to be self-motivated, highly organized, detail oriented and possess effective verbal and written communication skills., * Bachelors degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or STEM-related degree, with 5 years of industry experience, or Masters degree and 3 years of industry experience. An additional 4 years' experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree.
- Active Secret clearance required to start. Must be able to maintain this level of clearance and obtain an SAP clearance for continued employment.
- Experience with hardware design and/or test equipment design
- Experience with the BWI factory and/or factory test cell(s)
- Available onsite at the BWI facility during first shift
- Leadership experience that may be in areas such as project planning, cost & schedule management including tracking, manufacturing support, vendor support, design team lead, or similar.
Basic Qualification for Sr. Principal Engineer Systems
- Bachelors degree in electrical or mechanical engineering with 8 years of industry experience, or Masters degree and 6 years of industry experience. An additional 4 years' experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree.
- Active and current Secret government clearance
- 6-month minimum experience with hardware design and/or hardware integration & test
- 6-month minimum experience in the BWI factory and/or factory test cell(s)
- Demonstrated leadership skills with 6-month minimum experience as an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead or other leadership role supporting a program or business function
- Available onsite at the BWI facility during first shift, * Experience with REX (receiver/exciter), Processor or general RF Integration and test for hardware
- Experience reporting project status to program, functional management and customers
- Experience working with Global Supply Chain and Manufacturing Material Processing
- Knowledge of the Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
- Experience with the Root Cause Correction Action (RCCA) process
- Experience with LRU/LRM Integration and testing for an EMD product transitioning to production
- Fluency with developing and executing project schedules
- Experience managing products in the critical path of a program
- PMP certification a plus
- Active and current Top Secret government clearance a plus
Benefits & conditions
Primary Level Salary Range: $108,800.00 - $163,200.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $135,800.00 - $203,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
