Job description

We are seeking a Network Engineer with a strong security focus to join our Network Team. This role is responsible for implementing, securing, and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Cisco routing, switching, security platforms, and familiar with VoIP systems, and is comfortable operating in a hybrid environment that spans traditional IOS/NX-OS infrastructure, next-generation firewalls, and cloud-managed networking., * Implement and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems

  • Configure and manage Cisco ASA and Firepower (FTD/FMC) firewalls, including access policies, NAT (including Twice NAT), VPN configurations (site-to-site and remote access via AnyConnect/Secure Client), and threat inspection
  • Administer and troubleshoot Cisco IOS and NX-OS environments, including routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), VLANs, spanning-tree, and switch stacking
  • Deploy and manage Meraki cloud-managed infrastructure (switches, access points, security appliances), including onboarding, firmware management, and dashboard administration
  • Support and troubleshoot enterprise VoIP systems, including call quality issues, QoS configuration, voice VLANs, and integration with network infrastructure
  • Monitor network and security systems, respond to incidents, and perform root-cause analysis for outages, performance degradation, and security events
  • Support network automation initiatives using Ansible, including playbook development, inventory management, and configuration validation
  • Implement and maintain network segmentation, firewall rule hygiene, and security best practices in accordance with company policy and compliance requirements
  • Participate in patching, upgrade planning, and lifecycle management for network and security appliances
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams on cloud connectivity (AWS/Azure/GCP networking, VPNs, and hybrid architecture)
  • Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours incidents as needed
  • Assist in evaluating and recommending new network and security technologies

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering, with a strong focus on Cisco technologies
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS and NX-OS platforms in a production environment
  • Working knowledge of Cisco ASA and/or Firepower firewall administration (policy management, NAT, VPN, troubleshooting)
  • Experience with Cisco Meraki cloud-managed networking (switches, wireless, security appliances)
  • Experience supporting enterprise VoIP systems and troubleshooting voice quality/connectivity issues
  • Solid understanding of routing and switching fundamentals (OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP, EtherChannel)
  • Experience supporting site-to-site and remote access VPN solutions (IPsec, AnyConnect/Cisco Secure Client)
  • Familiarity with cloud networking concepts (VPCs/VNets, cloud VPNs, hybrid connectivity) in AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Understanding of network security principles: segmentation, firewall policy design, access control, and threat mitigation
  • Strong troubleshooting skills using packet captures, syslog analysis, and diagnostic tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document technical processes clearly, * Cisco certifications such as CCNA or equivalent
  • Experience with network automation tools, particularly Ansible (playbook development, YAML inventory management)
  • Familiarity with Cisco ISE or other NAC/identity-based access control solutions
  • Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) or other enterprise VoIP platforms
  • Experience with firewall/security platforms beyond Cisco (Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.)
  • Exposure to Kubernetes networking or containerized environment security
  • Experience with monitoring/observability tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Splunk, etc.)
  • Prior experience supporting a multi-site enterprise environment
