Application Architect-.NET

• Design and architect secure, scalable enterprise applications using C#, ASP.NET Core, SQL Server, and modern .NET architecture.
• Develop enterprise solution architectures spanning multiple applications, APIs, services, databases, and integration platforms.
• Design high-performance SQL Server databases, including advanced T-SQL optimization, indexing strategies, partitioning, Query Store tuning, and HA/DR solutions.
• Define enterprise integration strategies using REST APIs, authentication mechanisms, messaging platforms, and data exchange across Microsoft, IBM, and third-party systems.
• Lead enterprise adoption of GitHub Copilot by establishing best practices, prompt engineering techniques, AI-assisted development, code reviews, automated documentation, and testing.
• Produce architecture documentation, technical specifications, solution diagrams, and conduct architecture/design review sessions.
• Establish enterprise architecture standards, coding standards, reusable frameworks, and software engineering best practices.
• Ensure solutions comply with Commonwealth IT security policies, WCAG 2.2 accessibility, PII protection, Zero Trust security principles, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead modernization initiatives to migrate legacy applications into modern cloud-native architectures.
• Develop modernization roadmaps, assess technical debt, and recommend phased migration strategies.
• Design and implement modern DevSecOps practices including branching strategies, CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and environment management.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and commercial products to support the organization's long-term technology roadmap.

• 8+ years of experience as an Application Architect/Solution Architect on enterprise .NET and SQL Server projects within complex enterprise environments.

• 4+ years of expert-level experience with:

• C#

• ASP.NET Core

• Entity Framework Core

• Web API

• Clean Architecture

• Dependency Injection (DI)

• Minimal APIs

• Async/Await programming

• Advanced expertise with Microsoft SQL Server, including:

• Complex T-SQL development

• Query optimization

• Execution plan analysis

• Indexing strategies

• Row-Level Security (RLS)

• Dynamic Data Masking (DDM)

• Always On Availability Groups

• Daily hands-on experience using GitHub Copilot for .NET/C# development, including advanced configuration and enterprise team enablement.

• Proven experience migrating and transforming data from legacy systems into modern application data models.

• Strong understanding of:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent field.
