Job description

The Principal Solutions Architect translates business needs into technical systems solutions. Integrates hardware, software and network interfaces to form a system. Works with senior executives to develop and drive segment or enterprise-wide functional strategies. Advises one or more areas, programs or functions and provides recommendations to senior executives on matters of significance, and as an advanced subject matter expert competent to work at very high levels in multiple knowledge and functional areas across the enterprise.

The Principal Solution Architect will drive and enhance the design & strategy for enterprise observability for Humana. This includes acquisition, delivery, analysis, and visualization of metrics, logs, and traces - for our key enterprise monitoring/logging platforms. The individual would ensure tight integration of best-of-breed observability platforms and seek opportunities to further enhance and simplify the service offering for our key stakeholders / while keeping pace with the shifts and transformations within enterprise. Additionally, the individual will design and maintain a robust strategy for alerting and incident-based collaboration across the enterprise. The individual would also drive positive business outcomes, through observability, by partnering with stakeholders/leadership between Business and IT.

Requirements

a Bachelor's degree, in some instances a Master's or Doctorate's degree

6 or more years of progressive information technology experience directly related to architecture/engineering, information security, or other specialized technology field

2 - 5 years of project/people leadership

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Must have experience with enterprise monitoring and logging products (such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Solarwinds, Thousand Eyes, Datadog, New Relic, etc).

Must have experience in Cloud (AWS, GCP or Azure)

Preferred Qualifications

a Master's or Doctorate's degree, a plus

experience with open standards (such as OpenTelemetry, StatsD, etc.)

experience with event management products (such as ServiceNow ITOM, Big Panda, Splunk ITSI)

Additional Information Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field.Remote/WAH requirements:

WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.

A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
