Job description
We are currently seeking talented technologists to join our growing Technology Disputes team in the role of Senior Associate with a focus on coding review., Exceptional analytical skills, solid critical thinking, ability to analyze and explain code languages, remarkable communication skills, and creativity are the foundation for successful Senior Associates at Secretariat. Successful candidates will not only utilize their technology know-how but also be exposed to unique, complex, interesting issues and exposure to the legal process and communicating complex technical concepts in plain English.
- Conduct code review and analysis in existing software
- Analyze if code is unique in nature or from open sources and what task(s) the code is intended to do
- Assist with the preparation of memos and expert reports detailing findings and explaining technical concepts and standards in a manner that those not well versed in technological concepts can understand
- Assist with the preparation of rebuttal expert reports evaluating the conclusions of other experts
- Communicate with clients and counsel
- Prepare testifying experts for hearings, trials, and mediations
- Manage the day-to-day requirements of multiple engagements
- Review work of junior level staff
Requirements
- Requisite professional designations and work experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics with an emphasis on Computer Science or similar, from an accredited university or college
- 2-4 years of prior experience in software development, IT services, quality control in software development or similar exposure to software development and code review is preferred
- Ability to read and code in most common codes: C++, C#, Java, Python, SQL, HTML, etc
- Able to develop creative approaches and solutions necessary to resolve complex problems
- Able to quickly assimilate relevant information in unfamiliar situations
- Able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
- Excellent listening, verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Working proficiency in a second non-English language is a plus
- The ability to travel as needed
- Must be authorized to work in the US without the need for sponsorship in the future
