Schwing America is seeking a customer-focused and technically skilled IT Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the company's hardware, software, networks, and IT infrastructure while providing exceptional technical support to employees across the organization.
The ideal candidate enjoys solving technical challenges, takes a proactive approach to maintaining secure and reliable systems, and thrives in a collaborative environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring our technology supports business operations with minimal downtime.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee hardware, software, and peripheral support.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Install, update, and support Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, passwords, and software licensing.
- Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, wireless networks, and network connectivity.
- Configure and maintain computer hardware, software, and network systems.
- Perform routine system maintenance and proactively monitor system performance.
- Ensure backups are completed successfully and critical business data is protected.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly to minimize business disruption.
- Assist with implementing and maintaining cybersecurity best practices and digital security protocols.
- Work with third-party vendors to coordinate repairs, upgrades, and new technology implementations.
- Document system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and IT processes.
- Train and support end users on hardware, software, and technology best practices.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies, security standards, and industry best practices.
- Participate in IT projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
- Experience supporting LAN/WAN environments and network infrastructure.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking fundamentals.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while providing timely technical support., * Experience supporting cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure or Microsoft 365 administration.
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
- Knowledge of scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or corporate IT environment.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, endpoint security, and compliance standards.
