Job description
We are seeking an Intermediate-Level Teradata DBA that will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, security, and optimization of Teradata environments supporting critical healthcare data workloads., * Manage and administer Teradata database environments across development, test, and production
- Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching
- Execute backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
- Monitor and optimize database performance and query efficiency
- Implement database security, access controls, and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA)
- Provide L2/L3 production support and incident resolution
- Collaborate with data engineers, ETL developers, and business teams
- Support data integration, migration, and modernization initiatives
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience as a Database Administrator with strong Teradata experience
- 6+ years of experience with enterprise data warehouse environments
- 6+ years of experience with SQL and query performance tuning skills
- 6+ years of experience with Teradata utilities (BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT)
Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), Exposure to data modernization programs

Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica or DataStage

Healthcare industry experience

Benefits & conditions
NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this role is $132,098 - $244,625 per year. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
