Job description
- You will develop innovative new features for a new real-time situational awareness Command & Control Systems (C2) using Java.
- You will design, architect and code critical capabilities in an active Agile environment.
- You will work in a highly collaborate team environment to design, architect and innovate software solutions.
What You Will Learn:
- You will learn how to develop high quality software to support real-time situational awareness Command & Control Systems (C2) systems.
- You will learn how to support engineering process improvements, audits and peer reviews.
- You will learn how to work within a highly collaborative software team and interface with other engineering disciplines as needed to meet program contract milestones.
- You will learn how to update documentation related to test, verification, and design activities.
Requirements
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance, * Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) obtained prior to start and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.

- Experience and/or knowledge in programming multithreaded systems.
- Experience in software development using Java or C++.

Qualifications We Prefer:
- Ability to engage & build positive relationships with both customers as well as internal & external employees.
- Opportunities for travel to customer sites for demos, integration and support.
- Strong computer science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms and information retrieval.
- Relevant work experience using SW Development tools (e.g. Maven, Apache Ant, Jenkins, etc).
- Relevant work experience with full life cycle development including exposure to software requirements, design, development, debug and test.

- Eligible for relocation, The salary range for this role is 62,900 USD - 119,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
