Job description
As a Systems Engineer, you will work as the engineering interface between L8 Autonomous Hauling Application teams and L6 base machine systems teams. You will be responsible for autonomy hardware and software solution integration with base machine systems.
What You Will Do:

Work closely with Autonomy Systems integration engineers and architects to ensure the product architecture requirements are fulfilled.

Work with Technical program managers and Application Architects to ensure that program requirements are being met (time, cost, quality).

Ensure that Base machine software changes are delivered on time for command for hauling releases. These can be NPI and CPI solutions depending on the state of the program.

Support Field data collection kits activities. Including design support, procurement, coordinating shipping to site, and kit test support.

Documenting architecture specifications, software design description, verification plans, test cases, operating procedures, and safety procedures.

Assisting in the verification and validation process. Includes supporting/troubleshooting hardware in the loop and proving ground test and development.

Participating in design and development of application software and algorithms for robotic platforms.
Requirements

Problem Solving : Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Software Development Life Cycle: Knowledge of software development life cycle; ability to use a structured methodology for delivering and managing new or enhanced software products to the marketplace.

Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the organization's industry group, trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters; ability to apply industry knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

Software Product Testing: K nowledge of software product testing; ability to design, plan, and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure software product quality and adherence to stated requirements.

Application Development Tools: Knowledge of application and system development; ability to utilize a variety of specific tools and toolkits for developing applications.

Technical Troubleshooting: Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application or operation.

Education Requirements: Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.
Consideration for Top Candidates:

Proven experience as a Systems Engineer supporting requirements definition on technical engineering product development projects

Mining or Construction Industry Experience required

Experience developing and defining system level requirements

Prior development or engineering experience preferred

Prior experience in systems integration preferred
