Job description

As a Senior Information Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Driving system improvement initiatives, including upgrades, configuration changes, maintenance activities, and process optimization.
  • Evaluating existing and potential technical solutions in collaboration with others.
  • Leading projects to enhance and maintain systems that support regulatory compliance across the EHS, Product Stewardship, and Research and Development spaces.
  • Collaborating with compliance experts, business stakeholders, IT teams, and software vendors to develop, implement, and improve system solutions that meet evolving regulatory and operational needs.
  • Translating business and regulatory requirements into system enhancements, functional specifications, and implementation plans.
  • Mentoring and leading internal resources on projects and new technologies.
  • Managing stakeholder relationships and project communications to ensure alignment, visibility, and user readiness for system changes.
  • Gathering, prioritizing, and managing user requests related to system enhancements, functionality improvements, and compliance-driven changes.
  • Analyzing system issues, identifying root causes, and coordinating corrective actions to maintain system reliability, performance, and usability.
  • Partnering with IT teams to support system integrations, data flows, testing, release activities, and long-term solution planning.
  • Supporting software enhancement and upgrade efforts in partnership with external vendors and internal technical teams.
  • Staying informed on industry best practices and trends in compliance systems, application support, and systems management to drive continuous improvement.
  • Contributing to a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement., All US-based 3M full time employees will need to sign an employee agreement as a condition of employment with 3M. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Three (3) years of cloud administration and development experience in a private, public, government, or military environment
  • Five (5) years of full tech stack development experience

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Experience and education with AI development, best practices, and security
  • Experience working with software vendors and IT teams to implement and support application changes
  • Cloud-based Certifications
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into system solutions
  • Strong understanding of system functionality, issue resolution, and process improvement
  • Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills

Work location:

  • This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.
