Job description
You will work across the Acrobat Mobile experience to understand how people discover, adopt, and build habits around the product, and to design the surfaces, flows, and patterns that make that journey coherent. That means funnel work grounded in data, and it means stepping back to ask whether the pieces add up to something that earns a place in someone's mobile life.
Adobe Document Cloud products, including Adobe Acrobat, Sign, and Scan, are used by more than 600 million monthly active users, and Document Cloud is the fastest growing cloud at Adobe. The design team has a strong record of innovation, honored by TIME as a Best Invention in 2023 for Liquid Mode and in 2024 for Acrobat AI Assistant, and named by Fast Company as one of the Most Innovative Companies in Applied AI., * Develop and maintain a working model of the Acrobat Mobile experience as a system: how surfaces relate, how moments connect, where the experience is coherent and where it is not.
-
Dig into funnel and behavioral data with your partners to identify where users hesitate, miss value, or drop off, and bring a systems lens to what you find.
-
Design and test monetization touchpoints across the mobile journey, including upgrade prompts, paywalls, plan comparison, and subscription flows, treating conversion as another moment in the systems model rather than a separate track.
-
Form clear hypotheses and prototype quickly to test how entry points, onboarding flows, messaging, and interaction patterns affect adoption and return. Prioritize learning over perfection.
-
Identify patterns and frameworks that can travel across the experience, not just solve a single screen.
-
Connect design decisions to business outcomes and present your rationale clearly to partners and senior stakeholders.
-
Apply and evolve mobile design patterns that are consistent, scalable, and aligned with iOS and Android platform conventions.
-
Contribute documented thinking that raises the team's shared understanding of how Acrobat Mobile works as a whole.
-
Collaborate closely with research, data science, content strategy, product management, and engineering.
Requirements
Adobe Design is looking for a Senior Designer to join the Document Cloud team, focused on Acrobat MobileGrowth. This role is for someone who thinks in systems and executes indetails, who can hold the full shape of a mobile experience in their head while also caring deeply about a single moment of friction., You are a designer who naturally zooms out and zooms in. You can map the full arc of how a user moves through Acrobat Mobile and then go deep on exactly why they hesitate at a specific moment. You are comfortable in data, rigorous about user behavior, and motivated by the question of how individual interactions compound into habits and loyalty., * 4 to 6 years of product design experience, with a portfolio that shows both systems-level thinking and execution on specific user moments.
-
Demonstrated ability to reason from behavioral data and metrics alongside user research. You can look at a funnel and know what to ask, and you can look at a product and know what the funnel is missing.
-
A track record of running experiments: hypotheses formed, tests designed, results interpreted, and learnings applied.
-
Strong problem-framing skills. You define the right problem before pursuing solutions, and you know when a local fix is the wrong level of intervention.
-
Deep knowledge of mobile design principles and platform conventions for iOS and Android.
-
Proficiency in Figma, with ability to convey ideas through prototyping in Figma, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar tools.
-
Proven cross-functional collaboration with research, data science, product management, and content partners.
-
Clear, confident communication with the ability to drive alignment with senior partners.
-
A self-directed working style, with a track record of setting your own milestones and driving work forward.
-
A genuine passion for mobile, active curiosity about how the landscape is shifting, and a point of view on what it means for the people using these products.
Nice-to-Haves
-
Experience with AI or ML-powered product experiences.
-
Hands-on familiarity with A/B testing platforms and experimentation infrastructure.
-
Experience designing for document or productivity workflows.
-
Curiosity about AI-assisted design and development tools. Signals like Cursor, Replit, or Claude Code in your workflow are things we notice.
-
A degree in design is not required. A strong portfolio and resume will speak for themselves.
Preferred Accessibility Skills
-
Experience designing accessible and inclusive interfaces for people with disabilities.
-
Understanding of how to apply WCAG conformance criteria in design, specifically testing comps, wireframes, and prototypes for accessibility standards.
-
Accessibility certifications such as CPACC, WAS, CPWA, or ADS from the IAAP are a plus.
-
Experience with pricing experimentation or subscription business models.
