Job description

Tactical Air Support (TAS) is seeking a Configuration Manager to serve as the enterprise leader responsible for establishing and maintaining configuration management (CM) processes that ensure integrity, traceability, and control of product data throughout the entire lifecycle. This role plays a critical part in maintaining compliance with aerospace regulatory standards, contract compliance, and ensuring alignment across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and program management.

This position will communicate and collaborate with aircraft maintenance, pilots, engineering team members, and program management. The Configuration Manager will report to the VP of Engineering and Technology., * Develop, implement, and maintain CM plans and procedures in compliance with aerospace standards (AS9100, EIA-649).

  • Control and manage product baselines.
  • Lead and coordinate Change Control Boards, including review, approval, and implementation of engineering changes.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, version control, and release of drawings, specifications, and technical data packages.
  • Maintain traceability of requirements, parts, assemblies, and system configurations.
  • Manage configuration audits (FCAs, PCAs)
  • Support customer and regulatory audits, including FAA, DoD, and other regulatory authorities as applicable
  • Regular travel to various work sites throughout the U.S. may be required and ability to support detachments as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Systems Engineering or related technical field, advanced degree preferred.
  • Five (5+) years of CM experience in aerospace, defense, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of configuration management principles and standards (EIA-649, MIL-HDBK-61, AS9100).
  • Strong knowledge and experience with engineering software tools like CAD and SolidWorks PDM.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple programs and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eligible for U.S. government security clearance; current Secret clearance preferred.
  • Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States, complete a U.S. government I-9 form, and successfully pass a government background check.

  • Pre-employment, random, or for cause drug/alcohol testing (including marijuana) required
  • Occasional aircraft hangar or warehouse environment with exposure to loud noises, fumes from engines and chemicals, unpredictable climate (hot/cold), and electrical shock, or trip or slip hazards.
  • May be exposed to or required to handle hazardous materials

Benefits & conditions

$110,000.00 - $135,000.00 / yr
