Job description

Financial Services IT Project Manager The job is a hybrid Technology Project Manager / Business Analyst role embedded with a front-office trading technology team. It starts with core PM responsibilities (tracking, coordination, documentation) and is explicitly designed to evolve into a trusted business partner who deeply understands the trading desk's priorities, risks, and operations. Key themes from the JD: Heavy stakeholder management across traders, developers, engineers, operations, compliance, and legal. Translating between business needs and technology requirements. Owning project tracking, risks, dependencies, and communication in Jira + Confluence. Fast-paced environment where priorities shift quickly. Required vs. Preferred Qualifications (My Breakdown) Must-Have (Required)5+ years in technical project management, business analysis, or similar execution-focused role. Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects with minimal oversight. Strong technical acumen

Requirements

(understanding of systems, data flows, dependencies, upstream/downstream impacts). Excellent communication - comfortable with both technical and non-technical audiences. Outstanding organization and tracking skills (owners, dates, blockers, risks, decisions). Experience turning business needs into clear plans and requirements. Jira + Confluence proficiency. Willingness to work onsite in Bala Cynwyd. Nice-to-Have (Preferred) - These Will Help You Stand Out Any exposure to trading systems, market data, or risk systems. Financial services / capital markets / highly regulated environment experience. SQL (data analysis, validation, reconciliation). Python or scripting/automation experience. Windows + Linux/Unix comfort (command line, logs). AI tools experience for analysis, documentation, or workflow improvement (this is a newer preference and easy to demonstrate).
