Kforce has a client in Los Angeles, CA that is seeking a Network Engineer I. Summary: This role involves supporting routers, switches, telecom servers, UPS units, and related equipment. The Engineer aids in the design, installation, upgrades, reporting, operations, and maintenance of network infrastructure. Responsibilities include administering telecommunications equipment and applications, following established practices to analyze identifiable problems, and troubleshooting network and telecommunications incidents. Documentation is maintained, encompassing network diagrams, procedures, recommendations, root cause analyses, reports, inventories, and audit responses. Duties:
- Establishes and maintains network performance
- Builds network configurations and connections
- Troubleshoots network problems
- IP address auditing
- Establishes networking environment by designing system configuration and directing system installation
- Defines, documents, and enforces system standards
- Maximizes performance by troubleshooting network problems and outages and scheduling upgrades
- Configure switches/routers
- Updates data servers and network equipment
- Collaborates with network architects on network optimization
- Secures network systems by establishing and enforcing policies and defining and monitoring access
Requirements
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCDA, or CCDP are desired
- 2+ years of experience in Networking administration
- A professional appearance and demeanor are essential, along with the ability to collaborate with various IT teams, managers, vendors, and consultants
- Quick learning of technical concepts and a strong sense of urgency are required, as is availability for off-hours or on-call work

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
