Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Therapist to join our adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). In this vital role, you will provide expert mental health counseling, conduct comprehensive assessments, and develop personalized treatment plans for adolescents facing mental health challenges. Your expertise will help guide young individuals through recovery, fostering resilience and growth in a supportive environment.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of teens and their families while working within a dynamic, team-oriented setting committed to excellence in behavioral health care. This is a family systems-oriented program and involves extensive family work. The program is during afternoon and evening hours which allows teenagers to remain in school and parents to attend in the evenings.
This position is open to licensed therapists, including Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC), Licensed Professional Counselors - Associates (LPC-A), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist - Associate (LMFT-A), Licensed Psychological Associates (LPA), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), and Licensed Master Social Work (LMSW).
Duties
- Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine individual treatment needs.
- Develop and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing tailored for adolescents and families.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions focused on mental health issues such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, panic disorder, OCD, and addiction.
- Collect and document accurate medical records, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention techniques and conflict management skills.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with adolescents and their families.
- Strong group therapy skills.
- Strong knowledge of behavioral health principles including trauma-informed care and systems theory.
- Skilled in data collection for clinical documentation, patient assessment, and progress tracking.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and documentation standards such as HIPAA compliance.
- Expertise in diagnostic evaluation processes for mental health disorders and substance use issues.
- Proficiency in delivering individual and group psychotherapy using modalities like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and crisis management techniques.
- Ability to handle crisis situations calmly while managing conflict resolution effectively.
- Strong communication skills.
