Job description

We are seeking an Application Systems Administrator to join our program team and play a critical role in managing hybrid cloud and client/server-based systems. This role directly supports the performance, security, and reliability of the program's business systems, ensuring seamless operations and scalability. As an Application Systems Administrator, you will address enhancements and related issues for COTS applications, collaborate on system build & configuration, and support end users who rely on business systems. Success in this position requires technical expertise in system operations, the applications software development lifecycle, change management, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a collaborative mindset., As an Application Systems Administrator, the ideal candidate will support and optimize client/server-based and hybrid cloud-based and business application systems. The ideal candidate will identify and resolve application-related issues while working closely with peer functional teams and/or vendor support to address system issues and vulnerability response. The following platforms fall under system administration:

  • JIRA: Serve as the Systems Administrator in the Jira Service Management platform, primarily with the backend application development and process improvement that support the front-end administration.
  • SQL: Assist in SQL database support. SharePoint: Assist in SharePoint Administration activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a system administrator managing either/or hybrid cloud and client/server environments.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust., * Familiarity with, or knowledge of Microsoft Access.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Terraform, or Ansible).
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.
  • Familiarity with incident management platforms for reporting, automation, and deployment.
  • Familiarity with, or knowledge of Crystal Reports.

Certifications a plus in related industry credentials, i.e.

  • ITIL Foundations
  • Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator
  • Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA): Database Fundamentals
  • Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Administrator Associate
