Job description

The University of Arkansas Fayetteville is seeking a Research Infrastructure Analyst to join the Research Infrastructure & Technologies team. This position will provide direct and meaningful support to the research community through application administration of iLab, which is the University of Arkansas Fayetteville's primary research core facilities scheduling and billing application. This role will have a deep understanding of iLab application in order to facilitate the onboarding, as well as ongoing support, of numerous research service centers, cores, and institutes. In addition, this role will serve as the primary point of contact of all efforts associated with iLab which includes maintaining a strong working relationship with vendor.

This role will also provide data analysis and project coordination for various research infrastructure related efforts.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least five years of experience supporting research operations, research administration, laboratory services, core facilities, or research technology systems
  • Experience administering, configuring, or supporting enterprise software applications and serving as a primary point of contact for users
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate stakeholders, and support the implementation of new processes or systems as evidenced by application materials
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide training, documentation, and user support as evidenced by application materials

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience administering iLab or a similar research core facility management, scheduling, or billing platform
  • Experience supporting shared research resources, service centers, core facilities, institutes, or laboratory operations in a higher education or research environment
  • Experience working directly with software vendors to troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements, and coordinate system updates
  • Ability to interpret institutional policies and translate operational requirements into effective system configurations and workflows
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, researchers, and external partners
  • Commitment to professional development, continuous learning, and staying current with research administration technologies and best practices, Persons must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
