We believe that a variety of backgrounds makes our team stronger and more innovative., The Compressor Technical Specialist provides essential, hands-on support to the compressor maintenance department. This role is responsible for executing scheduled compressor maintenance, assembling new compressor builds, managing spare parts inventory, and conducting on-site training. Operating out of a combination home and local office in Dallas, TX, this position supports organization-wide growth and operational efficiencies through direct involvement in the research and development (R&D) of new processes.

  1. Maintenance Execution & Technical Support
  • Schedule and perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on a variety of industrial compressors.
  • Build, assemble, and commission new compressor units according to engineering design specifications.
  • Monitor compressor operational efficiencies and perform real-time troubleshooting at plant facilities.
  • Provide essential technical support during plant construction phases and handle special project requests across Regional Companies.
  1. R&D Support & Process Documentation
  • Test, evaluate, and verify new technologies or components designated for compressor systems.
  • Provide structured technical project management data to support R&D and broader engineering initiatives.
  • Draft, modify, and review process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) to ensure baseline facility compliance.
  • Proactively identify, document, and communicate process or profit improvement areas to departmental leadership.
  1. Operational Control & Standardization
  • Manage local and regional inventory systems to ensure the immediate availability of critical spare parts and maintenance tooling.
  • Deploy and reinforce best operating practices for regional cylinder fill operations during field visits.
  • Deliver clear, on-site technical training to plant personnel regarding safe compressor operation and standard maintenance steps.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of dedicated maintenance-based mechanical experience.
  • Technical Drafting: Hands-on experience with CAD platforms and basic developmental computer skills.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong capability with Google Suite applications (Google Docs, Sheets, etc.).
  • Core Competency: Must be a highly motivated self-starter capable of executing field tasks independently with minimal direct oversight
