Job description
For our client, we are looking for an experienced Senior Databricks Architect to design and deliver scalable, enterprise-grade data platforms. You will define data architecture, governance, and best practices while working closely with business and technical stakeholders., * Design and implement modern Databricks Lakehouse architectures
- Develop scalable batch and streaming solutions using Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold)
- Define platform standards, governance, and best practices
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver secure, high-performance data solutions
- Advise stakeholders on enterprise data architecture and cloud strategies
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Information Technology
- Extensive hands-on experience in data engineering and architecture, including 3+ years of hands-on Databricks experience
- Strong expertise in Apache Spark (PySpark/Scala), Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Databricks SQL, Delta Live Tables, and Workflows
- Experience with Azure Databricks (preferred), AWS or GCP
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Terraform, Databricks Asset Bundles, and Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
- Proven track record designing enterprise data platforms and governance frameworks
- Databricks Data Engineer or Architect certification is highly desirable
- Experience in Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, or CDMO environments is a strong advantage. Knowledge of GxP, ALCOA+, LIMS, Veeva, or clinical/commercial systems is beneficial
- Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills
- Fluent English is required; German is an advantage
- Industry experience in Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, or CDMO environments is highly desirable and will be considered a strong advantage
