DBA / Database Platform Engineer

Company Description We are supporting a Vaud-based organisation in strengthening its IT team, in a context of modernising and securing its information systems. In this context, we are looking for a specialist capable of operating in a critical, hybrid, and technology-rich environment, at the intersection of production, infrastructure, and application support. Job Description As a Senior DBA / Database Platform Engineer, you play a key role in the availability, performance, and security of data platforms. In this capacity, you will be involved in:

• The operation and administration of databases in a production environment
• Monitoring, maintenance, backups, and restorations
• Performance optimisation and incident management
• Support for application and infrastructure teams
• The deployment of new applications
• Participation in the technical evolution of the data ecosystem

You will work in a rich and varied environment including notably:

• Relational databases: Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MariaDB
• NoSQL / data services technologies: MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch
• Systems: Windows Server, Linux, Unix
• Collaborative and delivery tools: Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence
• Agile methodology in a structured environment, * Remote work possible up to 1 day per week after the probation period

• Higher education in computer science (EPF / HES or equivalent)
• Minimum 6 years of experience in database or data infrastructure administration
• Strong experience in a production environment
• Good command of Microsoft and Linux/Unix systems
• Comfortable in hybrid environments (DB + systems)
• Rigour, autonomy, and a service-oriented mindset
• Good communication and team spirit
• Fluent French, good level of technical English
