Tasks

  • Oversee and enhance ISP and datacenter networks' operations.
  • Design and implement firewall and security solutions effectively.
  • Manage DNS, load balancing, and connectivity issues efficiently., You are at home in the data centre and want to design networks, not just operate them. As a Senior Network Engineer, you are responsible for the stable, secure and scalable operation of our ISP and data centre networks and contribute your knowledge to take architecture, automation and security to the next level.

This is what your job will be like:

  • Operation and further development of networks (Core, WAN, Overlay, NSX)
  • Design, implementation and operation of firewall and security solutions (Barracuda)
  • Responsibility for DNS, load balancing and connectivity topics
  • Automation and documentation of network environments
  • Close collaboration with data centre, cloud and security teams, * Technically demanding projects with plenty of creative freedom
  • Collaboration with experienced engineers from various fields
  • Modern technologies, flat hierarchies and fast decision-making processes

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in network or datacenter engineering required.
  • Deep knowledge of routing, switching, and firewall technologies needed.
  • Experience with automation tools like Ansible and Terraform preferred., * Several years of experience in network or data centre engineering
  • Deep knowledge in routing & switching, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs and overlay technologies
  • Experience with manufacturers such as Fortinet, Huawei, Aruba or Cisco
  • Know-how in DNS, load balancer or automation solutions (e.g. Ansible, Terraform)
  • Ideally experience in designing data centre networks or migrations
  • Knowledge of VMware NSX or cloud networks (Azure, AWS) is an advantage
  • Independent working, structured thinking and strong implementation skills
