- Act as the cybersecurity lead for customer projects, ensuring compliance with both Hitachi Energy and customer security requirements.
- Conduct cybersecurity assessments during tender and project initiation phases, identifying risks, requirement gaps, and compliance deviations.
- Perform OT cybersecurity risk assessments and define mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Serve as the primary cybersecurity interface for customers, building trust and ensuring alignment on security commitments.
- Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Global Cybersecurity teams to develop and implement cybersecurity strategies across European markets.
- Drive supplier cybersecurity compliance and support the secure deployment of automation and control system solutions.
- Maintain cybersecurity documentation, evidence, and assurance activities to support audits, certifications, and customer requirements.

Background Screening and Security Checks

Requirements
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced OT Cybersecurity professional to combine technical expertise, customer engagement, and strategic influence across a diverse portfolio of projects throughout Europe., * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 6 years of experience within IT/OT environments, including at least 3 years focused on OT Cybersecurity, or 5+ years of experience as an OT Cybersecurity Architect or Implementer.
- Strong experience working with industrial control systems, OT environments, and OT security principles.
- Advanced knowledge of OT networking, network security, firewalls, IDS, and secure architecture design.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity standards and frameworks such as IEC 62443, NERC-CIP, BDEW, and NIST.
- Experience with cybersecurity assessment and vulnerability management tools such as Nessus, CIS-CAT, and Nmap.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders across multiple countries and cultures.
- Experience mentoring engineers and promoting a strong cybersecurity culture within project teams.
- Certifications such as ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Fundamentals Specialist, GICSP, GIAC, or CEH are nice to have.

The minimum salary for this position in the location specified is as follows:
- Italy: starting from 44,800 € gross annual salary, Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico
- Austria: starting from 3.775,25 € gross (14 monthly salaries), Applicable CBA: Rahmenkollektivvertrag der Elektro- und Elektronikindustrie
The final offer will be based on candidate location, skills and qualifications, experience, and aligned with internal pay structures.
