Job description

You will be on a development journey to guide your growth into the role of Data Engineer. We are seeking a driven and analytically-minded Graduate Data Engineer / Analyst to join our IT/IM department. This role is designed for a recent graduate eager to unlock the value of our company's data across multiple domains. You will be responsible for transforming raw data from design, engineering, finance, manufacturing, and testing into strategic assets. Your work will directly impact decision-making by building inference systems, automating operational processes, and laying down the critical data architecture required to prepare the company for cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools. You can expect to be involved in the following:

  • Data Exploitation & Engineering: Extract, clean, and harmonize cross-functional datasets from diverse business areas (Design, Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, and Testing).
  • Decision Support Systems: Design, build, and maintain data inference models and dashboards that facilitate data-driven decision-making across leadership teams.
  • Process Automation: Identify inefficiencies and automate manual data workflows to improve operational speed and data reliability.
  • AI Readiness: Structure, pipeline, and optimize existing data environments to prepare the organization for the seamless implementation of advanced AI and Machine Learning tools.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor data quality and governance, ensuring accurate and secure data availability across departments.

You will learn to act as the vital link between IT/IM infrastructure and core business units (Engineering, Finance, Operations), translating complex operational needs into scalable data solutions, making the ETL/ELT pipeline design and workflow orchestration, data Modeling and Data Warehousing concepts, and about Version control systems (Git).

Requirements

An Engineering degree level or equivalent within STEM learning paradigm

  • Recently graduated or first professional experience in the field of data engineering, data analytics or process automation

  • Experience with Power BI (advanced dashboard creation, DAX, and data modeling).

  • Strong proficiency in SQL for database querying and manipulation.

  • Solid foundations in Python or R (specifically for data analysis, automation scripts, and basic inference/statistical modeling).

  • Familiarity with Cloud Data ecosystems (e.g., Azure Data Factory/Synapse, AWS, or Snowflake) is a plus.

  • Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English). Other languages are a plus

  • A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation

  • The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.

  • Analytical Mindset. Exceptional problem-solving skills with a natural curiosity to dig into complex datasets.

  • Communication. Ability to translate technical data jargon into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
