Requirements
Overview At ING, we are looking for a competent Data Engineer to join our Data & AI tribe. The team focuses on ensuring the right data is in the right place at the right time for the right people to ignite the Data Spark. The role is part of an international project across multiple countries, developed in a Cloud & DevOps environment. You will maintain and evolve our informational platforms used for Data Management and Regulatory & Analytical Reporting. We work in an Agile DevOps environment with Scrum and Kanban; you will participate in a Scrum team, working in two-week sprints and using Azure as a key tool for our Software Development Life Cycle while keeping IT risk under control. Responsibilities - Ensure best practices within technical design, development of ETL processes, and modeling of informational solutions. - Monitor end-to-end processes, ensuring operation, detecting technical issues, and finding Data-based solutions. - Take care of platform sustainability within minimum IT and risk standards. - Guarantee that ETL delivered and promoted through Azure pipelines and modeling solutions are aligned with best practices. - Analyze business needs, propose IT solutions, and collaborate with different areas contributing to Spain ING Data Strategy. Qualifications - Technical knowledge in databases (SQL and NoSQL), ETL processes, and BI reporting. - Expertise in data modeling and data architecture for informational platforms. - Good analytical skills with proven domain experience in data warehousing, data lakes, and data virtualization within the banking and finance industry. - Experience working in Agile environments. - Strong communication skills and high level of English (written and oral). Desired Experience - Experience within Data Lake and Big Data environments (BigQuery, Oracle 19c). - Data virtualization or Denodo tool. - IBM InfoSphere DataStage, IBM IGC. - BI tools such as IBM Cognos, Power BI, MicroStrategy, or similar. - Azure DevOps or other cloud DevOps services. - Knowledge and experience in cloud environments. - Security, monitoring and logging skills (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana). - Programming in Python/Go, DBT. - Knowledge of Elastic Cloud Storage (ECS).
