Lead Software Engineer - Frontend (React / Next.js) (m/f/d) As Lead Software Engineer within the Global Web & eCommerce team, you are an integral part of a scaled agile team in an exciting international environment that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Responsibilities - Guide and mentor the team and collaborate with software engineers to facilitate problem solving for complex challenges. - Ensure best practices are consistently applied, including code quality, testing, system design, and performance optimization. - Investigate technical optimizations, synergies, automation (e.g., through AI), and opportunities to reduce technical debt. Qualifications - Fluent in English. - Familiar with modern web software development principles, practices and frameworks (specifically MACH / Microservices architecture). - Experience with Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript, CI/CD pipelines, GraphQL, Git, web performance optimization, REST APIs, and OpenAPI standards. - Experience with Kubernetes, cloud services management, serverless architectures, CMS systems (ContentStack), and commerce systems (commercetools). - 5+ years of frontend development experience. - Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent significant credentials in experience and knowledge.
