Data Management Lead -Telford - £40,000 - £45,000 + Benefits

Are you passionate about data governance, data quality, and ensuring business-critical information is accurate, secure, and accessible?

We are seeking a Data Management Lead to take ownership of data management practices across a growing organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a data professional who enjoys driving improvements, establishing governance frameworks, and ensuring data is managed as a strategic business asset., As Data Management Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the integrity, governance, security, and lifecycle of organisational data. You will establish best practices, improve processes, and ensure data remains accurate, compliant, and available to support business operations and decision-making., * Lead data governance initiatives and establish data standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, completeness, validity, and timeliness across systems.
  • Oversee data quality, security, compliance, and access controls.
  • Support data architecture, storage, and integration strategies.
  • Maintain master data and metadata management processes.
  • Manage the full data lifecycle, from creation and storage through to retention and deletion.
  • Support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and best practices on data usage, storage, and information management.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data processes and drive operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Experience in Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of database systems, data modelling, and data security principles.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Experience leading data-related initiatives or teams.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Flexibility to travel and occasionally stay overnight when required.
