Are you a dynamic individual with technical know how and the ability to deliver a high level of customer service?
Havering Council are looking for an IT Associate to work in the traded services team, with a strong customer service focus, to deliver its IT services to schools.
You will provide hands-on IT support across schools in Havering and nearby areas. Travelling
between sites, you will troubleshoot issues, build relationships, and ensure smooth IT operations.
You will also work with the team of engineers assisting with projects like installing networks, Wi-Fi, Cloud solutions, and support the 1st/2nd line functions of service desk.
Requirements
If you are an IT apprentice looking for your first role, a junior IT technician looking for your next step up or looking to take on more responsibility and make a difference to the IT within our schools, then this is the role for you.
You will have previous customer service experience, have supported a range of technical services, ranging from the setup, maintaining, troubleshooting desktop (Windows), cloud-based services (Microsoft 365, Google, Apple), network and server management within an ITIL environment, and have delivered against service level agreements.
Not fully up to speed in those areas? Don't worry, as long as you are willing to learn, we can offer training support to fill the knowledge gaps.
Your excellent communication skills and 'can do' approach will be essential to your success in your ability to work as part of the team and develop effective working relationships.
