Job description

  • Investigate complex customer issues.
  • Develop and optimise SQL solutions.
  • Deliver customer-specific enhancements.
  • Build reports and dashboards.
  • Provide technical expertise across the business.
  • Review database changes, stored procedures, and SQL code before deployment.
  • Ensure solutions are robust, performant, and maintainable.

Requirements

  • Strong commercial experience working with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Excellent knowledge of T-SQL, stored procedures, views, functions, and query optimisation.
  • Experience investigating complex software and database issues.
  • Experience developing reports and customer data extracts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience reviewing technical work or mentoring colleagues.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience supporting SaaS applications.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server performance tuning and indexing.
  • Experience with Power BI or other reporting platforms.
  • Experience with APIs, integrations or ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with source control and change management processes.
  • Knowledge of workforce management, compliance or operational software.
