Job description

  • We develop idiomatic Kotlin services, including RESTful APIs and database interactions, with a focus on secure, readable, maintainable, and well-tested code
  • We integrate with third-party APIs such as payment gateways
  • We act as an advocate for engineering best practice within our project team
  • We help grow our engineering function by participating in initiatives designed to increase our technical capabilities
  • We collaborate with the full project team, including BAs, QAs, and members of the client team, to provide the best solutions to our clients
  • We handle difficult client communications professionally for specific issues
  • We define and oversee the technical implementation of a client project

Requirements

  • We have strong knowledge of API development using Kotlin, including ORM frameworks, authorization/authentication, and instrumentation
  • We actively facilitate and encourage knowledge sharing within the team and wider department
  • We advocate for best engineering practices such as code reviews, paired programming, and automated tests
  • We are familiar with designing applications to run as containers within Kubernetes, AWS cloud services, and CI/CD
