We're looking for an IT Security Consultant to join our growing team in Oldbury. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of clients, delivering practical security solutions, assessing cyber risks, and supporting businesses in strengthening their overall security posture.

What You'll Be Doing
- Conduct security assessments, vulnerability reviews, and risk analyses.
- Identify security weaknesses and recommend practical remediation plans.
- Support the implementation of security controls, policies, and best practices.
- Perform security audits against recognised industry standards.
- Assist with incident response investigations and security reporting.
- Work with internal teams and clients to improve cyber resilience.
- Review network, cloud, and endpoint security configurations.
- Provide technical guidance on security technologies and compliance requirements.
- Stay informed about the latest cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and security trends.
- Produce clear technical documentation and client reports.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of cyber security principles and risk management.
- Knowledge of network security, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Experience working with Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with vulnerability management and security assessment tools.
- Understanding of frameworks such as Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Controls.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards.
- Relevant cyber security certifications are advantageous but not essential.
