Job description

Reporting to the Technical support Lead, you will deliver technical tasks and project work as defined by the Technical Support Lead and Process Engineering & Optimisation group (PEO). Providing frontline operational and technical support across fill / finish manufacturing and /or packaging operations. The role includes (but is not limited to) executing trials, validation support activities, troubleshooting, process data capture, Lean activities, and product lifecycle changes.

What you can expect in an Operations Support Technician role at TP:

  • Act as a point of contact for technical issues and carry out initial structured problem solving.
  • Develop and improve a Lean / Six Sigma mindset to understand variation and support data-driven decisions and root cause problem solving.
  • Support daily operations to ensure process stability and reliability across all processes.
  • Execute troubleshooting activities
  • Carry out trials and capture high-quality data.
  • Support equipment qualification, verification and validation activities as required in a timely manner.
  • Work with Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Product Lifecycle and Capital Asset teams to complete tasks and work packages.
  • Support the implementation of improvements and lifecycle changes.
  • Implement Lean tools such as 5S and waste reduction and embed these practices as the standard operating procedure / mindset.
  • Capture process capability data accurately.
  • Maintain manufacturing documentation and ensure compliance with relevant requirements / procedures.
  • Identify potential efficiency improvements and work with Process Engineering group to implement these improvements while maintaining compliance / GMP requirements.
  • Follow sterile discipline or packaging traceability requirements.

Requirements

A hands-on technical role focused on executing manufacturing support activities, driving initial problem solving, and implementing Lean improvements with a Six Sigma mindset, while developing towards a Senior Support Technician position., * Experience in manufacturing or technical environments.

  • Ability to carry out structured problem solving.
  • Understanding or willingness to learn and develop Lean and Six Sigma principles.
  • GMP awareness and attention to detail.
  • Ability to execute trials, validation and technical tasks in a timely and organised manner.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Data accuracy and analytical thinking.
  • Proactive attitude and desire to increase knowledge and experience through continual development.
  • Contribution to continuous improvement through identification of improvement projects and initiatives to feed optimisation pipeline / projects.

Development & Progression

This role supports development into a Senior Support Technician through building technical expertise, problem-solving capability, Lean application, and organisational skills.
