Frontend Developer

Frontend Developer - £550 per day (umbrella rate)

Location: Remote/London

Contract Duration: 1 year

Must have 5 years of unbroken UK residency

Atrium EMEA are supporting a large managed service provider, looking for an experienced Frontend Developer.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain modern web applications using the Front End framework VueJS version 3.
• Develop reusable UI components and scalable Front End architecture.
• Ensure applications are responsive across desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
• Optimise Front End performance, accessibility and usability.
• Write and actively maintain technical documentation.
• Understand and contribute to the end-to-end development life cycle.

Essential Skills and experience:

Technical Skills:

• Experience using the Front End framework VueJS version 3.
• Strong experience with JavaScript ES6.
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, SASS, responsive design and web standards.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and Back End services.
• Good understanding of state management approaches.
• Experience using Git and development workflows.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, including Azure DevOps.
• Experience developing automated unit tests using Jest.
• Experience implementing automated end-to-end tests using frameworks such as Cypress or Playwright.
• Understanding of Front End build tools and package managers.

Accessibility & User Centred Design:

• Knowledge of developing for accessibility, including the latest WCAG AA accessibility standards.
• Experience building accessible and inclusive digital services.
• Understanding of usability and user-centred design principles.

Agile Delivery:

• Experience working in an Agile delivery team.
• Understanding of iterative development and continuous improvement.

Communication:

• Able to communicate technical concepts concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong collaboration, problem-solving and debugging skills.

Desirable skills and experience:

• Experience working with government, healthcare and other public sector organisations.
• Familiarity with the GOVUK/NHS Design System or equivalent design frameworks.
• Experience using the Azure Cloud platform.
• Experience developing reusable components for a Front End component library.
• Experience using security tools such as SonarCloud and Dependabot.
• Understanding of microservices or API-first architecture.
• Experience using performance monitoring and analytics tools, such as Adobe Analytics.
• Familiarity with containerisation technologies such as Docker.
