Remote Senior GoLang Developer

• RabbitMQ, We are hiring a Senior GoLang developer for a 12-month contract role based in Brighton, Burgess Hill, or London. This is a hybrid position with three days in the office each week. We offer the opportunity to work on modern backend systems in a collaborative environment, using Golang, Kubernetes, Docker, REST APIs, and microservice technologies.

• We require 4+ years of experience with Golang, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• We require 5+ years of total experience.
• We require a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, plus 6+ years of experience in the Golang development stack.
• We require experience in application design, software development, and testing, preferably in an Agile environment.
• We require a solid understanding of test-driven development, including unit, component, functional, system integration, and regression tests.
• We require experience working with Git on small to medium-sized teams.
• We require experience designing and developing REST APIs for high-volume clients.
• We require experience with container and container orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• We require experience with back-end microservice architecture and communication, including REST and asynchronous messaging services such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• We require strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• We require the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external business partners.
• Preferred qualifications include open-source framework experience, relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Couchbase, or Cassandra, CI tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI, automated build and test frameworks, Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Confluence, knowledge of the payments industry, and experience across distributed technologies and payments technologies.
