Job description

This is a rare opportunity to lead a high-profile transformation agenda at BRE and play a pivotal role in how we deliver our strategy, scale our impact, and prepare for the future.

In this role you'll work directly with senior leaders to redesign how the organisation operates, helping us unlock greater effectiveness, innovation, and value. You'll combine strategic thinking with practical delivery, creating operating models that make the most of people, processes, data, digital tools, and emerging technologies, including AI.

About the Role

BRE is evolving to meet changing customer needs, accelerate growth, and maximise its impact. This role will lead the design and delivery of organisation-wide operating model transformation, ensuring we have the structures, capabilities, governance, and ways of working needed to achieve our long-term ambitions.

Reporting into the Director of People, you will be acting as a senior internal consultant, you'll work across the business to assess current organisational effectiveness, identify opportunities for improvement, and design practical solutions that support strategic goals. From developing future-state operating models through to implementation and embedding change, you'll lead end-to-end transformation that delivers measurable business value.

You'll collaborate with leaders across technical, research, commercial, and corporate functions, helping create a more agile, data-driven, and technology-enabled organisation., * Lead organisation-wide organisational design and operating model transformation initiatives.

  • Assess current structures, processes, governance, capabilities, and technology to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Develop future-state operating models that align with BRE's strategy and support growth, innovation, and impact.
  • Design practical solutions spanning organisation design, governance, processes, roles, skills, data, and technology.
  • Build roadmaps and implementation plans that translate strategy into action.
  • Drive adoption of data-led decision-making and technology-enabled ways of working, including AI where appropriate.
  • Facilitate senior leadership workshops and support key organisational decisions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to executives, providing evidence-based recommendations and constructive challenge.
  • Lead implementation and change activities to ensure successful adoption and sustainable outcomes.
  • Track benefits and measure the impact of transformation initiatives., Mostly Remote - This role is primarily home-based, with occasional travel to our head office in Watford for planned meetings (1 to 2 times per calendar month).

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading operating model transformation and organisational design in complex, knowledge-based, technical, or professional services environments.
  • A track record of delivering end-to-end transformation programmes, from assessment and design through to implementation and embedding change.
  • Strong experience translating business strategy into practical operating models, structures, governance, processes, and ways of working.
  • The ability to use data and evidence to assess organisational effectiveness and inform decision-making.
  • Experience designing organisations that effectively leverage digital solutions, data, and emerging technologies, including AI.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience advising and challenging senior leaders.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and consulting skills.
  • The ability to navigate ambiguity, build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups, and deliver measurable outcomes.
