Job description

  • Collaborate with our Sales and Pre-Sales teams to fully understand customer needs
  • Conduct detailed analysis of customer network architecture, applications, business processes, and security requirements to ensure proposed solutions align with current needs and future growth
  • Produce designs that utilise the most appropriate technology options within customer budget
  • Ensure designs consider the wider technical estate and integrate effectively with existing systems, platforms, and operational processes
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, highly available, and capable of supporting flexible capacity requirements
  • Design and support the delivery of network and secure access transformation programmes, including WAN, firewall, LAN/WLAN, SASE, ZTNA, and managed network services
  • Ensure solutions can be monitored, maintained, and patched in line with our ITPS platforms and standards, enabling seamless onboarding into support
  • Produce high-quality pre- and post-installation documentation, including high-level designs, low-level designs, implementation plans, test plans, and handover documentation
  • Lead solution presentations and engage in technical discussions with customers, addressing concerns and providing clarification where required
  • Act as an escalation point for complex network and secure access issues, supporting both project delivery and managed service teams
  • Play an active role in the professional development of engineers, championing knowledge sharing and supporting a collaborative technical culture
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 20000-1, and ISO 27001 requirements
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practice across networking, security, cloud access, and managed services
  • Undertake any other duties reasonably required by our line manager

  • Web, We are seeking a Technical Architect to design, configure, and implement complex network and secure access technologies. You will help lead customers through technology transitions, including network implementations, upgrades, WAN transformation, firewall modernisation, secure access adoption, and network optimisation. In this role, you will act as a technical design authority for network and secure access transformation, aligning WAN, firewall, LAN/WLAN, identity, endpoint, and service transition into a coherent target design. The salary is £56,000 to £75,000 per year. Benefits include free parking and on-site parking. The role is based in person in the United Kingdom, and we are looking for someone with the right to work in the UK preferred.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Technical Architect, Network Architect, Senior Network Engineer, or in a similar role, ideally within an MSP environment
  • Significant experience in network design and implementation, especially with Cisco and Meraki
  • Experience designing and delivering modern secure access architectures, including SASE/SSE, ZTNA, cloud-delivered web security, remote access replacement, and identity integration with Microsoft Entra ID
  • Experience with Cisco Secure Access, Cisco Secure Endpoint, managed firewall services, WAN transformation, and LAN/WLAN modernisation would be highly advantageous
  • In-depth expertise in designing and delivering complex network solutions, including routing, switching, firewalling, wireless, VPN, SD-WAN, and Internet-first network architectures
  • Strong understanding of service transition, operational readiness, and support handover
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to rapidly understand technical issues and propose viable technical solutions
  • Ability to break down and communicate highly technical or complex problems to audiences ranging from junior technical resources to stakeholders with no technical background
  • Comfortable leading technical presentations and design discussions with senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist are highly advantageous
