Job description
The Head of IT will lead the technology department in shaping and delivering the IT strategy to support business objectives within the manufacturing industry. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to oversee technical operations and drive innovation in a fast-paced environment., * Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with the business objectives.
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the technology department.
- Ensure the security, availability, and efficiency of IT systems and infrastructure.
- Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals to achieve departmental goals.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and address technological requirements.
- Manage IT budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions are implemented.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to support business growth in the manufacturing sector.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Requirements
- A strong background in IT management
- Strong background with ERP systems ideally (INFOR ERP system)
- Maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud systems, backups, and security tools.
- Ensure systems are secure, reliable, and backed up appropriately.
- Monitor cybersecurity risks and help maintain strong controls around passwords, access, email security, data protection, and user permissions.
- Manage Microsoft 365, email accounts, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and other business systems.
- Proven experience in leading technology teams and managing IT projects.
- Expertise in IT infrastructure, systems, and security management.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to align IT goals with business objectives.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
- A degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science or Information Technology.
