Job description

A large bank are looking for Java Software Engineers to join their Infrastructure team, working on a strategic Developer Experience platform that sits at the heart of the bank's cloud strategy.

The platform brings together AWS, GCP and internal cloud services to simplify how developers build, deploy and manage applications, with a focus on reducing complexity and creating a seamless developer Experience at scale.

Requirements

  • Strong Java development Experience
  • Solid Back End engineering skills
  • Strong object-oriented programming fundamentals
  • Experience building scalable platforms and distributed systems
  • Ability to simplify complex technical solutions
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable presenting solutions to both senior leadership and engineering teams
  • Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or similar) is advantageous
  • React, Node.js and JavaScript Experience is beneficial
