Job description

  • Design, develop, and maintain Back End applications using C# and .NET 10.
  • Build secure RESTful APIs and cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure.
  • Develop responsive Front End applications using TypeScript, JavaScript, and NHS Digital Design System components.
  • Implement HL7 FHIR R4, UK Core profiles, and healthcare interoperability standards.
  • Integrate applications with NHS Login, NHS App APIs, and national NHS interoperability services.
  • Apply SNOMED CT and ICD-10 clinical coding standards within healthcare solutions.
  • Utilize AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve productivity while maintaining code quality and compliance.
  • Ensure solutions meet GDPR, DSPT, accessibility, and NHS security standards.
  • Collaborate with technical and clinical stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable healthcare software.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Fullstack Developer with a strong background in Healthcare Technology to develop and enhance a patient-triage platform integrated with NHS services. This role requires hands-on expertise in healthcare interoperability, modern Microsoft technologies, Azure cloud services, and enterprise-grade application development.

The successful candidate will have proven experience delivering secure, scalable healthcare applications while working with NHS interoperability standards and AI-assisted software development tools., * Strong experience developing applications with C# and .NET 10.

  • Hands-on experience with REST API development.
  • Strong Microsoft Azure experience, including:
  • Azure Functions
  • App Services
  • Key Vault
  • Azure Monitor
  • Cloud-native architecture
  • Frontend development using TypeScript and JavaScript.
  • Production experience with HL7 FHIR R4 and UK Core implementation.
  • Experience integrating healthcare applications with NHS platforms.
  • Strong understanding of AI-assisted development tools and AI coding agents.
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance, security, and interoperability standards.

Highly Desirable

  • HL7 FHIR validation and terminology binding.
  • Strong knowledge of SNOMED CT and ICD-10.
  • Experience with NHS APIs including:
  • GP Connect
  • Personal Demographics Service (PDS)
  • Personal Demographics Management (PDM)
  • Summary Care Record (SCR)
  • BARS Referrals
  • Experience with OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect.
  • Experience delivering regulated healthcare or medical-device software.
  • Knowledge of:
  • ISO 13485
  • ISO 14971
  • IEC 62304
  • Understanding of NHS clinical workflows and interoperability patterns.
