Job description

  • Design, develop and maintain native mobile applications for iOS and Android
  • Build new features and improve existing functionality
  • Work with Swift, SwiftUI and UIKit for iOS development
  • Develop Android applications using Kotlin and Java
  • Integrate REST APIs and third-party services
  • Write clean, maintainable and scalable code
  • Take part in code reviews and contribute to technical decisions
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
  • Help mentor and support other developers within the team

We are a growing technology organisation investing heavily in our technology, with mobile development playing a key role in our product strategy. We offer the opportunity to work on modern mobile applications from design through to deployment, collaborating with product, design and backend teams to deliver intuitive, high-performing user experiences. This is a remote role across the UK, ideally for candidates based in the North West. You will have the chance to influence technical decisions, work on meaningful projects, and join a collaborative engineering team that values clean code and continuous improvement. The salary for this role is £65,000 to £70,000.

Requirements

  • Strong commercial experience developing native mobile applications across both iOS and Android
  • Experience with Swift, SwiftUI and UIKit
  • Experience with Kotlin and Java
  • Experience publishing applications to both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store
  • Experience with REST API integration
  • Experience with mobile application architecture, including MVVM or Clean Architecture
  • Experience with Git and modern development practices
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Firebase, Azure, AWS or Google Cloud, or cross-platform technologies such as Flutter or React Native would be beneficial
