Job description

The Senior Data Analyst will play a key role within in our expanding analytics team, driving strategic insights to support both operational and clinical decision-making. Collaborating closely with senior stakeholders, this role will shape reporting strategies and steer data-driven initiatives.

This is a home-based role (applicants must reside in the UK), though occasional travel may be required for face-to-face meetings at various locations within the UK.

As our Senior Data Analyst, you will:

  • Design and maintain impactful data solutions-including Power BI dashboards, automated reports, and ETL workflows-to deliver clear, actionable insights across the organisation.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to gather and refine requirements, translate business needs into technical specifications, and manage expectations effectively throughout project lifecycles.
  • Apply data storytelling techniques and advanced analytics to highlight trends, improve patient outcomes, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Write, review, and optimise complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis across multiple data sources.
  • Ensure data quality and governance by implementing best practices in data management and validation.
  • Mentor junior analysts, supporting their professional development and promoting best practices in analytics.
  • Contribute to advanced analytics projects, including predictive modelling and automation using Python.
  • Stay up to date with trends and best practices in data analytics, business intelligence, and healthcare technology.

Requirements

A proactive and analytical professional with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills-someone who can confidently manage stakeholder expectations and lead by example., * Established experience in a data analyst or senior analyst role.

  • Expert in Power BI (DAX, Power Query) and building complex, user-friendly dashboards.
  • Advanced SQL skills for querying large, relational data sources.
  • Proficient in Python for data analysis, automation, and/or machine learning workflows.
  • Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, pivot tables)
  • Experience designing and maintaining ETL pipelines and automated reporting workflows. (Databricks a bonus)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a talent for distilling complex data into meaningful insights.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines., * Experience with healthcare, NHS, or telemedicine data.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead analytical workstreams or mentor junior analysts.
